Baltimore Curriculum Project Celebrates 30th Anniversary
Founded in 1996, the Baltimore Curriculum Project (BCP) operates 6 neighborhood charter schools in Baltimore City. The schools have partnered with NIFDI to implement Direct Instruction as the core literacy and arithmetic programs since their conversion to charter schools in 1996. NIFDI congratulates them on this anniversary and commends the leadership and staff, past and present, for their dedication to providing opportunities for success for the students they serve.
Founded in 1996, the Baltimore Curriculum Project (BCP) operates 6 neighborhood charter schools in Baltimore City. The schools implement Direct Instruction (DI) as the core literacy and arithmetic programs. Over the years, BCP schools have been among the highest performing schools in Maryland, receiving city, state, and national recognition. They recently published their first-ever Impact Report, which highlights BCP’s history. As one reads it, their commitment to DI and the importance of continued professional development is clear.
NIFDI congratulates BCP on this anniversary and commends the leadership and staff, past and present, for their dedication to providing opportunities for success for the students they serve. We look forward to our continued role in supporting and celebrating BCP success!
