Paula Bleakley has extensive experience with Direct Instruction (DI), including 30 years of teaching programs such as Reading Mastery, Language for Learning, Corrective Reading, Connecting Math Concepts and Spelling through Morphographs. Ms. Bleakly has participated in the development of programs, as well, including serving as a tryout teacher for Language for Learning.

As a teacher, she has worked in Lake County Schools, Florida. She taught both exceptional student education and regular education. In 1990, while still employed as a full-time teacher, she began working as a National Consultant for SRA providing training and support for schools using Direct Instruction schoolwide in a number of states, including Florida, Texas, Georgia and North Carolina.

In 2012 she became a NIFDI trainer and Implementation Manager.  She has worked as a NIFDI IM in Florida, Texas, Arkansas, and Australia.
